St. George LDS Temple

St. George LDS Temple

Located on a city block in St. George`s historic district, the gleaming white St. George Utah Temple is a striking monument among the red sandstone buttes that characterize Utah`s Dixie. Sharing the grounds is a public visitors` center, which houses a replica of Thorvaldsen`s Christus. Other nearby attractions include the Brigham Young Winter Home and the St. George Tabernacle. The St. George Utah Temple is the oldest operating temple of the Church and was the first built in Utah.

The St. George Utah Temple was originally named the St. George Temple. The only temple completed during Brigham Young`s 30-year tenure as president of the Church.

Snow Canyon State Park is a state park of Utah, USA, featuring a canyon carved from the red and white Navajo sandstone in the Red Mountains. The park is located near Ivins, Utah and St. George in Washington County. Snow Canyon State Park`s landscape is spectacular enough to rival most national parks. Its 7,400 acres encompass massive red rock sandstone formations and arches, ancient lava caves and cinder cones, and soft red sand dunes that beckon adventurers of all interests. You`ll definitely want to remember your camera so you can capture the stunning scenery as you explore the park, which offers 16 miles of hiking trails. Snow Canyon State Park`s proximity to St. George and year-round pleasant weather makes it a premiere adventure hub for campers, mountain bikers, hikers, technical rock climbers, horseback riders, nature and wildlife lovers, and especially photographers. Snow Canyon`s impressive scenery has even set the stage for Hollywood films, including the notorious Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Tuacahn Theatre is located just outside of the park, basking in the glory of Snow Canyon`s 1,500-foot red rock mountains.

Tuacahn is located just a few miles up the road from St. George in Ivins, Utah. Tuacahn is just 5 minutes to our new vacation home resort, Paradise Village at Zion - a new vacation home community in Santa Clara. It is close to the entrance of Snow Canyon State Park. It is an innovative non-profit corporation which opened in 1995 with the dual purpose of providing a school for the arts and a professional performing facility.
